Coxswain Clinic for Steering the Head of the Charles

Learn how to strategically approach the obstacles and real race scenarios of
the Head of the Charles course in the 4th annual How to Cox the Perfect
Head Race clinic, presented by Yaz Farooq, World Champion and 8-time U.S.
National Team cox and John Lambert, Chief of the HOCR's Rules and Appeals
Committee. Navigation of the course will be explained in detail. The clinic will
include video examples shot from the coxswain's seat in head racing
scenarios, and maps explaining challenging scenarios on the HOCR racecourse.
Coxswains, coaches, and rowers steering blind boats are encouraged to attend.

This year there will be two sessions:
Session 1: Friday, October 21st, 12:00 p.m. 1:30 p.m at Riverside Boat
At 1:45 p.m. HOCR expert cox Tom Tiffany will lead the Annual Coxswains Boat
Tour from Riverside Boat Club.
Cost is $5, but is FREE to Coxswain Clinic Attendees.

Session #2: Saturday, Oct. 22nd, 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Buckingham Browne &
Nichols (BB&N) Gymnasium. (Walking distance from Finish Area Launch Site
(No Coxswain's boat tour after Saturday clinic)
Clinic booklets will be provided for the first 100 people through the door
each day. Cost is $15 at the door. Clinic will start on time and will last 90
